Doctor Hendrickson

Dr. Valette Liedtke-Hendrickson, Ph.D.

Choosing the right psychologist is one of the most important decisions you may make. Finding a professional to help you and in whom you can feel comfortable and confident, makes all the difference in developing confidence in yourself to solve life's problems.

Dr. Hendrickson has 29 years of experience offering cognitive-behavioral treatment for women, geared towards short-term, structured interventions for adult psychology issues, behavioral medicine/health psychology disorders, and corporate psychology issues. Dr. Hendrickson focuses on teaching women concrete, behavioral, goal-oriented skills and techniques that can easily be transferred into real life situations. Her therapeutic style is action-oriented and results-oriented. Talking is great - but action is better.

Dr. Hendrickson's goal is to provide knowledgeable and caring psychological therapy to equip you with the information, skills and tools you need to manage life effectively.

"My approach is cognitive-behavioral, and I believe therapy should be an enjoyable interactive learning experience where concrete skill sets are learned and goals set and achieved.  In addition, I try to make it a fun process, where we use humor and a positive approach to life problems. I  enjoy working with female clients experiencing  depression, stress, anxiety,  medical disorders,  eating disorders  and obesity.  As a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with a PhD in Health Psychology, my training allows me to work with traditional therapy issues such as depression, anxiety and relationship issues, but also  provides additional psychological training to deal with  disease and illness issues. My certifications  in  eating disorders and stress management have provided me an advanced level of expertise in these conditions. I welcome the opportunity to help you achieve the life you want and deserve."
